Blackjack is around six years old and a Quarter Horse.
He was acquired from a woman who was unable to afford feed for him and another, older horse due to tough economic times, and
was the first pick of a list of around 30 other horses in need. He was chosen to fill the empty stall because of his youth,
his friendly, gentle disposition, and his potential to fill the place of one of the school’s older horses upon its retirement.
Unfortunately, Jack had little or no training when
he arrived. He entered training under Foundation tutelage and has become another new challenge for the older students, who
have made incredible progress with him. He shows much promise and is a very willing horse.
