Sam, also known as Saints Samantha, is a 30-year-old registered Appaloosa with only one
spot. She was purchased directly off the Montana range by Allen just after she turned two. She is perhaps the youngest-looking
and acting horse anywhere, and she is still occasionally ridden.
Sam's most unique trait is that she is the permanent companion and therefore eyes of
our blind horse, Choco. They share a paddock and as long as she is around, he feels safe and can navigate in familiar paddocks
and fields. They are always turned out to graze together and are rarely far apart.
