Horse Harbor Foundation

Summer Camps

The Foundation offers a series of summer horse day camps in the summer for young people interested in learning more about the world of horses. These four-day-long sessions provide youngsters with hands-on experience of vital aspects of horse ownership in addition to basic riding instruction. Camps feature instruction in topics such as understanding horse behavior, communicating with horses, grooming and preparation for riding, care and feeding of horses, horse health and nutrition, beginning riding techniques, and a culminating trail ride.

Starting in July, there are four different camp sessions, each limited to eight students ideally aged 7-12. Interested parents are encouraged to register their child early to ensure their choice. Tuition for each camp is $180 per student or $170 each for siblings. Tuition helps support our herd, some of which is used during these camps and all of which campers will meet. Sessions run from 10am to 2pm, so attendees should bring a lunch. For more information, please contact us.
